This article lists many tips to improve the accuracy of decoding audio.

1. Put additional characters before and after the message.
MCA analyzes the input audio and try to find out the most suitable setting before decoding.
The beginning characters may be missed in this process.
The last characters of the message may also be missed when the valid signals are too few.
Therefore, adding additional characters before and after the message is helpful for the accuracy like following:

Message is as following:
(The Message)
End of the message

2. Use the suitable WPM
The MCA decoding algorithm has tolerance on WPM value.
However, the more suitable WPM is, the higher accuracy.

3. Make signal clear
MCA uses the bottom microphone (the one to record voice when calling out) to receive audio signals.
Moving the microphone close to or pointing the hole of microphone to the sound source is helpful to make signal clear.

When external microphone or earphone with microphone is plugged into 3.5 mm headphone jack, MCA is changed to use headphone as input.
The tip is the same, change microphone position to make signal more clear.

4. Turn pitch range to filter out noise and focus on signal
The accuracy of decoding has positive relationship with signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
Normally, signal appears on several frequencies or occupies a range of frequency.
Selecting a target range with minimum noise is helpful to increase the accuracy.
